Prior to joining Mindset, Kendra served as the Pensions Policy Director and Senior Tax Counsel for the Senate President Pro Tempore Patty Murray and the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.

Kendra also served as a Department of Labor detailee to the House Committee on Education and the Workforce as well as an Employee Benefits Law Specialist for the Department of Labor, Employee Benefits Security Administration. Kendra’s private sector career includes positions at the HR Policy Association, the law firms Slevin & Hart, P.C. and Venable LLP, as well as at Washington Council Ernst & Young.

Prior to joining Mindset, Heather worked for SEC Chair Gary Gensler where she led a team of policy experts who advised Chair Gensler on SEC rulemakings and other regulatory issues. Heather oversaw the proposal and adoption of nearly 40 rulemakings relating to investor protection and capital formation.

Before joining the SEC, Heather was the Director of Capital Markets Policy at the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), the Head of U.S. Policy at the UN Principles for Responsible Investment, and a Senior Fellow at Americans for Financial Reform.

King came to Mindset from Dome Advisors, which he co-founded to provide investment managers with actionable insight into policy decisions in Washington. He previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Banking & Finance in the US Treasury Department’s Office of Legislative Affairs during the financial crisis of 2008.

Prior to the Treasury, King served as a policy aide and tax counsel to Senate Minority Whip Trent Lott (R-MS), a prominent member of the Senate Finance Committee. Prior to that, he was a policy advisor to the majority House Republican Conference.

Brant joined the firm over a decade ago after spending several years leading the financial services practice at another major Washington lobbying shop. His career in public policy began when he served as Counsel for the House Financial Services Committee’s Subcommittee on Capital Markets, Insurance, and Government Sponsored Entities.

Prior to working on the Hill, Brant practiced maritime law in the energy sector in New Orleans, Louisiana.
