IPA Releases Agenda for AltsGlobal 2026 in London
The Institute for Portfolio Alternatives (IPA) has released the agenda for IPA AltsGlobal 2026, taking place November 9–11 at The Langham, London.
This year’s program looks at private markets through a distinctly global lens, examining how changing economic conditions are influencing capital flows while the continued expansion of alternative investments into private wealth creates new questions around access and portfolio construction.
Cailin Birch of The Economist Intelligence Unit will open the program with Resilience Amid Risk: The Global Outlook and the Next Map of Capital, connecting the shifting macroeconomic and geopolitical environment to where capital may move next across global private markets.
That global perspective will carry throughout the agenda. The Liquidity Question will compare how major markets are approaching liquidity in private investments, while Gatekeepers: The Wealth Channel’s New Power Position will bring the focus to the private banks and investment platforms deciding which products ultimately reach investors.
The conversation then moves beyond how private markets are accessed to the role they should play in the portfolio itself. Beyond Alternatives: Building the Portfolio of 2036 will challenge the idea of alternatives as a separate allocation, asking what portfolio construction looks like when public and private investments are considered together from the start.
On Day Two, Mapping the White Space on the Global Frontier will extend that discussion to the investment opportunity set, looking at where new areas of private-market growth are emerging around the world and how investors can determine which opportunities merit a place in the portfolio.
Together, the agenda reflects a private markets industry becoming more global, more integrated into wealth portfolios and increasingly focused on what comes next.
