Senate Passes Reconciliation Bill – Now to the House for Final Passage

7.2.25

Yesterday, the Senate voted 51-50 to approve the massive “One Big, Beautiful Bill Act” after a grueling 26-hour debate.

Senators Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.) voted against the measure, which required a tie-breaking vote from Vice President JD Vance to get across the finish line.

The House is slated to take up the megabill today or tomorrow for final approval.
